A Draper 3 student is helping run her city. 🇺🇸
Congratulations to Draper 3 Senior, Sofia Jimenez, who has been elected Youth City Manager for Herriman City for the 2026–2027 term.
She’s served on the Herriman Youth Council for four years, and selection to the board is a significant accomplishment — youth members are elected by the Herriman City mayor and city council based on attendance, participation, and demonstrated commitment to the city.
In her role, she meets with council members on city issues, runs youth meetings, organizes events, and connects young people across Herriman.
Sofia's advice to other students: “Never feel afraid of putting yourself out there. Opportunities are waiting for you, lying in the most unexpected places.”
We are inspired by Sofia's commitment to serve her community.
